This was the perfect venue for our daughter's wedding. From the panoramic views to the colourful, well-maintained gardens the Mediterranean feel abounds. There is ample parking and room for catering vehicles near to the main complex. The chiller room keeps drinks cool and the extra toilet is a welcome addition. We hosted 65 guests and found the owner was both efficient and relaxed. Nothing we asked for was too much trouble and we certainly recommend the comfortable accommodation here.

What a fantastic stay! Hosts are extraordinary welcoming, warm and friendly! We didn't feel like guests but rather as part of the family. Great breakfast, excellent recommendations for dinner venues, beaches and other activities. Fantastic view from the room and the terrace. A gorgeous magical "castle" on a hill overlooking Cook's Bay with hosts who define the concept of hospitality. We spent Christmas and Boxing Day in this wonderful lodge and it was so special. Tom, Jo and their entire family prepared a wonderful Christmas dinner for us - complete with a decorated table and Christmas Crackers. Their lodge is beautifully decorated, clean and the view cannot be beat. Although there were several other families in the lodge, there was room for everyone and lots of wonderful private spaces. A continental breakfast with hot croissants out on the terrace looking at the boats on the water - it can't be beat! Thanks for a wonderful holiday.

Mercury Ridge is a WONDERFUL place to stay. We don’t normally stay at resorts that only serve breakfast, but Jo and Tom’s lodge is exceptional. It was perfect with its dramatic vista, spacious rooms, comfortable bed and overall “quietness”. Very peaceful. There was plenty of room inside and out to join the other travelers or to remain private. I think Tom missed his calling as a breakfast chef. He prepared a hearty tasty breakfast each and every morning. We are grateful to have stayed at Mercury Ridge and experienced Jo & Tom’s hospitality.

We had a fantastic stay at Mercury Ridge, Tom & Jo were great hosts, from beginning to end it was a treat and exceeded our expectation. The accomodation was beautiful and photos don't do it justice. We enjoyed spending each afternoon on the deck with a wine and then the evening in front of the fire or watching TV in the lounge. The breakfast each day was delicious & Tom was able to share recommendations on things to do/eat which were on point. Hope to stay again!

My wife and I have been on a 5 week tour of NZ and our recent stay at Mercury Ridge wull be remembered as an experience of the highest calibre. The B & B, if it can be called that, has been decorated magnificently. No stone has been left unturned in providing an exceptional experience. From the moment we arrived, we were bowled over by every aspect of the property. This is an outstanding property with magnificent views over the bay. The room itself was very tastefully decorated including a free standing bath. Tom was a magnificent host. On arrival, we were greeted with a wine and cheese platter, the mini bar was on a complimentary basis and was topped up daily, breakfasts were of the highest quality and Tom was always available to help book trips or advise on what to do. Thank you Tom for making our stay as one of our highlights of our trip!

Arriving onto the property we were pleasantly surprised by not only the great location but the amazing property itself. It overlooks Cooks Beach, beside a boutique winery and a short walk to the best beach in the area. We had the top floor master suite that had complete privacy and expansive windows and deck overlooking the bay. The bed was very comfortable and the small touches like beach towels and complimentary mini bar was a great added touch. Tom our host made us feel welcome and comfortable as we enjoyed the use of the whole homestead - he can also whip up a very delish breakfast. We would highly recommend a getaway here.
